About IndusInd Foundation

Our Origin

lnduslnd - the name derived from the 5000 year old Indus Valley Civilization - is a concept to mobilise the collective efforts of the community for India's economic and social development. While the credit for conceptualizing lnduslnd goes to Mr. Srichand P. Hinduja, many prominent leaders of the community in India and abroad have helped him to institutionalize the efforts in the form of lnduslnd Bank Ltd., Indusind International Fedration and lnduslnd Foundation.

The IndusInd Foundation - a non-profit charitable organisation - provides a powerful integrated forum to pool the community resources for public good and to meet the community's aspirations for philanthropy and charity.

The Foundation is registered under Section 12 A(a) of Income Tax Act and donations to it qualify for deduction under Section 80 (G) of Income Tax Act.

Promotion of literature to the youth

To sustain the interests of the younger generation and to keep alive the language, it is essential to bring about topical literature and with this in view, writers are extended financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh every year to help them publish their books.

The Foundation co-sponsors literary seminars organised by different organisation engaged in promoting language & literature. Recently, an international symposium organised by Institute of Sindhology, Adipur and a literary seminar organised by MARUEE were co-sponsored.
